Join the dynamic team at Warrior Sports as a Staff Accountant and play a critical role in a high-energy environment that thrives on innovation and determination. Reporting directly to the Controller, you'll be at the core of our financial operations, managing accounts payable, spearheading month-end processes, and fueling our fiscal achievements. As an integral team member, you'll not only handle tasks like reconciling intercompany accounts and overseeing capital projects but also embody the precision and drive that define our brand. Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-3 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial analysis, and budgeting
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities for identifying and resolving complex issues
  • Ability to engage with senior management to convey and evaluate financial results
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functionality
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage BusinessWorks and Fixed Assets, DI ProDiver, Infor Aurora, BPC, and Oracle EPM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Power Play with Payables: Lead the charge in managing accounts payable for two business units, ensuring smooth operations and timely payments. Tracking of freight accounts with third-party processor and vendor account reconciliations.
  • Skate through Month-End: Execute month-end journal entries with finesse, assisting in closing procedures like a seasoned pro.
  • Team Reconciliations: Keep our financial game on point by reconciling intercompany accounts and managing fixed assets with precision.
  • Capital in Progress: Score big by tracking and capitalizing assets, posting monthly depreciation entries to keep our financial goals in sight.
  • Faceoff with Data: Dive into statistical data to uncover insights and drive strategic decisions that keep us ahead of the game.
  • Goal-Driven Initiatives: Identify cost-saving opportunities and champion new analytical tools that propel our team to victory.
  • Playmaker in Financial Controls: Uphold our commitment to financial integrity by maintaining robust internal controls and ensuring accurate financial statements.
  • Strategic Support: Assist in financial closing processes and provide strategic insights that drive operational and financial improvements.

Flexible Work Schedule

For decades we have fostered a unique culture founded on our values with a particular focus on in-person teamwork and collaboration. Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
